I learned acupuncture in Guangzhou Chinese Medical University. In the hospital I learned whatever is new from other people.
When Qi Gong started in the hospital, I started to learn Qi Gong for treatment. Teaching the real Qi gong medical treatment in the school became very popular in China only since 1980.
Before, in the Chinese medical hospital they only used herbal medicine.
The Chinese medical hospitals in my area were only writing herbal prescriptions.
When acupuncture started to become more popular in my area, I started to use acupuncture along with herbal medicine.
I also went to pick herbs for herbal medicine in the mountains with the local people. Whatever is new I want to learn.
Qi Gong was only used in treatment since 1980. So starting from 1980 I started to learn Qi Gong for treatment.
Because I like Qi Gong. I went to work in the Qi Gong hospital so I could meet very experienced Qi Gong doctors. If I did not work in the hospital I could never meet the people with high level Qi power.
At that time China was just starting to open. In the other provinces, they were not allowed to talk about Qi Gong, but in Guangzhou, the Guangdong Qi Gong Association invited the experienced Qi Gong doctors to visit.
Teachers who have high level Qi come from all areas of the country. They are not located in just one Province in China.
They came because the Guangdong Chi Gong Association spent a lot of money to invite these high level Qi gong practitioners to Guangzhou hospital to practice.
The directors of both the Guangzhou Qi Gong Hospital and Guangzhou Qi Gong Association are all from the Provincial Government. They are very high officials.
They had two titles, provincial government leaders and leaders of the Guangdong Qi Gong Association. So actually this association was an official association.
From the personal side if I wanted to learn, I personally could not afford to invite those very powerful Qi gong people to come. So, I took the chance to learn from them while they were in Guangzhou.
